The gray bobbin split coil pickup delivers a smooth, bold growling quality with potent low end heft and sweet treble articulation, particularly round and full-bodied with the Tone knob dialed back. The gloss Natural finish exhibits tight “shattered glass” checking, with some finish loss on the bass side of the top and around the lower bout perimeter. There is buckle scuffing on the back and other various scuffs and dings consistent with use. The smooth gloss on the neck profile exhibits some tiny marks that don’t distract the palm.
