Up for sale, a 1995 Gretsch Silver Jet ‘57 vintage reissue model 6129T-57 in perfect working order, upgraded from stock and complete with the original hardshell case. A Silver Sparkle-topped iteration of the Duo Jet model, this Gretsch boasts the traditional tonewood combination of a maple top and chambered mahogany body, outfitted with the original pair of DynaSonic pickups and upgraded with a Synchro-Sonic (Melita-style) bridge, as well as a fully upgraded wiring harness with USA-spec components.
The chambered construction yields plenty of natural bark and breadth, and the DynaSonic single coils have a sparkling percussive cut and midrange authority. Sensitive to a player's picking dynamics, there's a bell-like twang and roundness to single notes played on the bridge pickup, while the neck position single coil has quite a bit of woof and thickness while still retaining great string to string balance and overall clarity. This Silver Jet 6129T-57 weighs 8lbs 10oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

There is buckle rash across the back, as well as some finish chips, scuffs and dings from use. The top, by comparison, presents very cleanly. The smooth gloss is present on the neck profile with just a few shallow nicks.
The original gray tolex hardshell case is included.
