Up for sale, a 2014 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Custom “Black Beauty” in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case, CoA, and hangtags. This Custom Shop iteration of the Les Paul Custom platform features a mahogany body with a carved two-piece maple top, mahogany neck capped with a bound ebony fingerboard, and a pair of 490R/498T humbuckers.
This Les Paul Custom delivers midrange growl, sweet trebles and fundamental punch thanks to the tonewood complement. The 490R and 498T humbuckers have a wide tonal palette, with the Alnico II magnets in the neck pickup offering more chime and warmth, while the Alnico V bridge pickup has a cut and snarl that cuts through with classic Gibson roar. This Les Paul Custom weighs 8lbs 12oz, benefitting from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Ebony nitro lacquer finish shows only faint buckle rash on the back at the bass-side waist, a couple small dings on the top and perimeter at the lower bout, and a few faint finish scratches on top. The nitro gloss on the neck profile is flawless.
The original brown Lifton-style hardshell case is included, along with the serialized CoA and hangtags.
