This is a later reissue of Giardinelli’s well-reputed 3M mouthpiece (no New York stamp). One-piece fixed rim mouthpiece. Still faithful, more or less, to Bob’s original specs. I think the rim is a tiny bit more supportive on the outer end than the New York screw-rim version.
Medium rim contour with fairly soft bite, diameter similar to a Bach 1-1/2 or 1-1/4, slightly shallower and more supportive cup than a Bach C, 27 throat. Great all-around size with a slightly brighter tone overall. Could be “the one” for you if you’re a 1-1/4C player who needs a little more “zip” in jazz/commercial/pops settings!
Note shank plating loss and a couple of tiny dings, but the rim is fully plated and still feels great on the chops.
