Description:
The Ultimate Dark & Warm Metal Snare – Handcrafted in Japan, a rare, discontinued Yamaha SD6455 14" x 5.5" Copper Snare Drum in Excellent condition. If you are looking for a snare that delivers the projection and cut of a metal shell but retains the dark, fat, organic warmth of a wood drum, this is the Holy Grail.
Condition Notes:
This drum has been exceptionally well cared for in a smoke-free studio environment.
- Shell: The 1.5mm seamless copper shell is structurally perfect, completely round, with zero dents or deep scratches. It shows slight surface scratches and micro-patina/surface aging inherent to raw copper instruments and commensurate with age.
- Hardware: The chrome plating on the DynaHoops is bright, clean, and entirely free of pitting or rust, as are the Nouveau quick-release lugs.
- Functionality: The original strainer mechanism operates flawlessly, smoothly engaging and disengaging. Tension rods spin smoothly.
