1970s Ibanez Standard Wau Fuzz — Made in Japan — Fully Working
Rare vintage Japanese fuzz-wah in the classic rocker enclosure. This is the same fuzz circuit as the Ibanez Standard Fuzz (Univox Super-Fuzz family) with an added wah, all in one foot-treadle pedal.
Plugged straight into an amp the fuzz and wah work great together. They delivers rich, warm wah tones and biting, sputtery fuzz in the vein of a Shin-Ei Companion.
Controls: Fuzz Depth and Balance, plus footswitches for Fuzz On (bypass) and Fuzz Tone Change (scooped mids vs. flatter, more cutting voicing). Built around original silicon transistors of the Super-Fuzz family.
Condition: works perfectly with zero sonic issues — all functions tested and working.
Cosmetically it shows honest wear consistent with a played vintage pedal (light scratches on the base and chrome treadle, see photos), but it presents very clean for its age and the circuit is original.
Please note: 3 of the 8 rubber pads on the rocker treadle are missing (see photos) — purely cosmetic and does not affect operation.
Bonus: includes a power adapter for use with a pedalboard power supply, since the pedal was originally battery-only (9V).
A genuine vintage fuzz-wah, not a reissue — these are getting increasingly hard to find in fully working condition. Please see all photos as they form part of the description. Feel free to message me with any questions before buying.
