Alvarez Yairi DY87-12VS 12 string acoustic electric guitar - DY Flamed Vintage Sunburst

Absolutely beautiful Alvarez Yairi 12 string. Model DY87 in vintage sunburst finish. It would be considered great condition if not for one crucial issue. The top portion of the soundhole (around where the neck connects) has sunk in. There are no cracks or breaks. Just a curve. It is hard to describe or explain. Looking head on, you don't see it. And you don't really feel it in 1st position. But it does raise the action considerably starting around the 12th fret. And so I am listing it in fair condition. I have owned this guitar for about 10 years. I received it this way and fortunately, it has not sunk any further in the past 10 years.

Despite that, it has all high-end appointments. Ebony fretboard and bridge. An on-board PR-400 NB Ducer pickup system. Individual saddles. Sealed Yairi logo tuners. I will include a gig bag as well.

Like I said it plays well in the first position. Action height at the 12th fret on the bass side is 4 mm and on the high E side is 3 mm. It is not unplayable. But out of spec for sure.

So if you are a 12 stringer who does not come up the neck very often it might be a good fit for you. Or maybe you need a good acoustic slide guitar. Let me know if you have any questions. (I will deliberately try to undersell the condition of this guitar despite how fantastic I think it is.)
