Completely sold out and limited to just 100 pieces worldwide, the Ernie Ball Music Man 30th Anniversary Axis is one of the rarest modern Axis models ever produced. This example is individually numbered #34 of 100, making it a highly collectible piece for Music Man enthusiasts and players alike. It traces back to one of the most important super Strat designs ever, rooted in the original Eddie Van Halen collaboration and refined into what the Axis is today. It keeps that same stripped down, high performance feel, where everything is built around response and playability with nothing getting in the way.

Visually, this one is on another level. The quilted maple top is extremely high grade, finished in translucent purple with gorgeous figuring that stands out immediately. It is paired with a black sparkle back that gives it contrast without taking anything away from the top. The figured maple neck and fretboard tie it all together, adding another layer of detail that makes the whole build feel complete and considered.

In hand, it delivers exactly what the Axis is known for. The asymmetrical neck with the oil and wax finish feels broken in right away, fast but natural. It is very responsive, with a tight low end, strong mids, and a top end that stays clear under gain. The custom DiMarzio pickups push when you need them to, but still clean up well. It is one of those guitars that just feels right the second you start playing it.
