Up for sale is a really wonderful and rare 1934 National Triolian in good condition. The guitar is all original with the exception of the tuners and one dot inlay. While the break angle over the saddle is fairly shallow, the guitar plays nicely with easy action and there are no buzzes, rattles, etc. even with light gauge strings. The neck feels great and frets look good with limited wear and play cleanly across the board. A previous owner made small notches in the bass side binding aligning with the fret dots which do not effect playing. The original cone is in decent shape, though I'd be tempted to try a new one and it might also benefit from a new saddle (the 1st and 6th string slots in the saddle show some material added as it looks like they were cut too low at some point). While a little TLC might be worthwhile, I think most would be happy playing it as is. The steel body shows even wear with one ding on the upper left bout and some paint peeling here and there. The brass coverplate shows wear with paint missing in more concentrated areas. I'm happy keeping this one but have a couple of other projects in the works. It comes shipped and insured in a modern hard case. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
Thanks.
