Vintage late-’60s/early-70's Gibson Patent Number humbucker pickup with Patent No. 2,737,842 sticker, gold cover, and braided lead. Works great with no issues. Output is 7.65k, and 2 conductor braided wire is approximately 9" long but appears to have been spliced long ago. Gold pickup cover is in good condition for a 50+ year old part, with the wear and minor gold plating loss one would expect on a well-loved and played used guitar.
This pickup came out of a 1974 Gibson L5-S guitar (replaced original Tarback pickup years ago), but would sound great in a Gibson Les Paul, ES-335, SG, or any other guitar with a full size humbucker.
NOTE: I have been told there is a possibility that this pickup was originally nickel but the original cover was swapped out for gold. I have therefore reduced the price and am selling AS IS. Still a great sounding and looking early Gibson Patent# vintage pickup available at a deep discount if you need a gold pickup cover but are not as concerned with collector value.
Please see attached photos and feel free to contact me with any questions on condition, etc.
