2015 Fender Classic Player Baja 60s Telecaster – Sonic Blue – Rosewood Board – Custom Shop Designed

Here we have a fantastic Fender Classic Player Baja 60s Telecaster from 2015, finished in a highly sought after faded Sonic Blue gloss finish with rosewood fingerboard. Designed by the Fender Custom Shop, the Baja series has become hugely respected amongst Telecaster players for combining vintage-inspired specification with genuinely useful modern upgrades and exceptional playability.

This example is presented in excellent condition with only the lightest signs of careful use. The finish has retained a wonderful gloss and the guitar has clearly been very well looked after. The setup is excellent with a comfortable low action and superb playability right across the neck. The frets are in great condition and the guitar plays beautifully with no issues. Weight is a very respectable 8.14lbs.

The Baja 60s Telecaster features an Alder body paired with a comfortable Custom Shop designed Soft “C” maple neck profile and a 9.5” radius rosewood fingerboard, giving the guitar a wonderfully familiar and broken-in feel. Tonally these are exceptionally versatile instruments, capable of everything from classic Tele twang and snap through to thicker, almost humbucker-like tones thanks to the clever switching system.

Factory fitted are Fender’s highly regarded American Vintage 52 Telecaster pickups combined with a 4-way blade selector and S-1 switching system, giving a huge range of usable sounds:

Position 1 – Bridge Pickup
Position 2 – Bridge and Neck Pickups in Parallel
Position 3 – Neck Pickup
Position 4 – Bridge and Neck Pickups in Series

The series position in particular gives the guitar a noticeably fatter and more powerful voice, making these Baja models incredibly versatile both live and in the studio.
