Up for sale is a good condition, Vintage DBX 166 classic two channel compressor, limiter and gate with our Revive Audio 166 Modification service+Vca upgrade and Germanium limiter mod.

This unit is good shape with some wear but looks great overall (see pics)

The VCA is the heart of this unit and all audio passes thru it. This service is an additional $75 normally is a really nice add-on that softens the knee when compressing and delivers lower artifacts when compressing heavy which is why we recommend it with every mod we do on vintage DBX compressors.

Our new Germanium Limiter modifications smooth out the distortion considerably when limiting making it excellent for Drums and any other application where you want some cool Germanium limiter Mojo.

This unit has our DBX 166 Burr Brown input and output mod in it and PSU mod.
The service increases the headroom of the unit, widens the frequency response and increases the 3-d image.
The PSU mod lowers overall noise in the unit while making it larger and fuller.

It has been professionally modified by our technicians and given the seal of approval to go to work at you home or in your studio.
