Spendor SP3/1 Rare Vintage Rosewood Bi-wire Sealed Cab Speakers

These bi-wire, sealed cabinet, speakers are among the first off the line at Spendor—serial #s 14 and 15. They look almost mint, but up close you'll find a couple of slight knicks on the back, a few spots that don't photograph but are invisible from a listening position, and one of the screen lugs is missing. However the latter does not show or in any way affect the very tight fit of the screen. I don't know how many previous owners they had, or if they sat in a box for most of those 30 years, but they are a spectacular and rare find. And they're Rosewood, probably pre-Brazilian Rosewood. I've had them about two years and have always been utterly knocked-out by their classic BBC sound quality.
