Up for sale is a gorgeous 2023 PRS McCarty 594 Hollowbody II in Fire Red Burst Wraparound finish. Built on March 21, 2023, this Core-line instrument delivers incredible acoustic resonance, lightweight comfort, and flawless modern playability with a golden-era vintage feel. The Fire Red Burst Finish is truly AMAZING!
What Makes This One Special:
- Wraparound Finish: Unlike standard Core models with the natural scraped "faux binding," this features a rarer wraparound burst where the deep red dye seamlessly covers the carved maple edges for a clean, boutique look. Per PRS, the Wraparound finish is only done for special edition runs, limited dealer runs, or special customer requests for private stocks.
- Wide-Flame Maple Top: The top boasts a highly dynamic wide-flame pattern with excellent depth, movement, and precise bookmatching.
Key Specs:
- Pickups: PRS 58/15 LT (Low Turn) humbuckers. Known for their lower output, sweetness, and exceptional clarity, they pair perfectly with the hollow construction.
- Electronics: 2 Volume, 2 Push/Pull Tone controls (for true single-coil splitting) and a 3-way toggle switch on the upper bout.
- Neck Profile: Pattern Vintage. A substantial, asymmetrical carve that fills the hand beautifully and comfortably.
- Scale Length: 24.594” for vintage-accurate slinky string tension.
- Hardware: PRS two-piece cast zinc bridge and vintage-style tuners.
- TOP: It wasn't given a "10" designation, but it has to be a 9.5
Condition Notes: This guitar would be listed as "mint" if not for a cosmetic finish crack in the clear coat on the top near the volume knob. Close-up photos are included (last two) to show this. It is strictly a finish check in the clear coat (common with nitro finishes)—and the top is entirely solid, and it has absolutely zero impact on the structural integrity, tone, or playability of the instrument. The rest of the guitar, including the frets, electronics, neck, and back, is remarkably clean.
