The Gold Rush Telecaster was built around a very clear idea:

Create a Telecaster with the soul of an old road-worn guitar, combined with the performance, stability, and versatility expected from a modern stage-ready instrument.

Inspired by classic American hot rods, outlaw muscle cars, and guitars that look like they have survived decades of loud stages, smoke-filled bars, long highways, and overdriven amplifiers, the Gold Rush is part of our Guitar Depot MX Custom Performance Series.

This build combines an original Fender American Standard Telecaster body with a genuine Fender Mexico Road Worn 70’s-style Stratocaster neck Made in Mexico, modified with a black matching headstock and finished with a carefully crafted medium-heavy relic treatment designed to deliver authentic wear, character, and personality.

The goal was never to create a “perfect” guitar.

The goal was to create a guitar with visual history.
An instrument that already feels alive the moment you pick it up.

The contrast between the aged black finish and gold hardware creates a look inspired by vintage performance machines, classic hot rods, and outlaw custom builds:
aggressive, elegant, and unapologetically rebellious.

Underneath that worn exterior lives an extremely versatile performance instrument.

The Gold Rush features a set of Seymour Duncan Hot Rails pickups combined with:

• coil split
• series/parallel wiring
• Fender 4-way switching

This setup allows the guitar to move from thick, aggressive humbucker-style tones into brighter, more open and dynamic textures, dramatically expanding the tonal range of a traditional Telecaster platform.

Additional premium upgrades include:

• Gotoh VS-TC1S bridge
• Gotoh SD91 vintage-style tuners
• GraphTech TUSQ nut
• Mallory capacitor
• Pure Tone jack
• PMT V-Treb treble bleed system
• Fender gold anodized pickguard
• Gotoh dome knobs
• Set up with 9-42 strings

This instrument also includes a premium jacquard strap by Mexican brand Huzzah Straps, specifically selected to complement the personality and visual identity of the build.

Every instrument within our Custom Performance Series is assembled using carefully selected original components and modifications designed for real musicians and real-world performance.

The Gold Rush is not trying to recreate the past.

It is our reinterpretation of it. 🔥
