Own a piece of Rock n Roll history! This rare awesome Hondo Bass has all that desired wear that guitar manufacturers try to mimic with their "relic" or "roadworn" bass guitars, including the classic cigarette burn on the headstock. The style is along the lines of an old Hagstrom or Burns bass. It's a 1960's collectible and shows it.
This is a bass guitar that Phil Cope owned just before he formed Witchfinder General. Although Phil Cope is the guitarist, he was also known as Wolfy Trope and it was he who played the bass parts on the Witchfinder General albums. There was no bassist at that time, so he played the bass parts on those albums and had their roadie stand in as "Wolfy Trope" on the album covers. Well, this was Wolfy Trope's bass, and it's for sale if you want it. Previous owner mailed the pick guard to Phil and had him autograph it. This bass includes a letter of authenticity and original sale receipt as well.
It's a 1960's Hondo short (25.5") scale passive bass with all original parts. It comes with Phil's original sale receipt from 1978!!
If you're interested I am also posting a rad 1960's 1970's Vintage Intermark Cipher guitar.
Thanks for looking.
