This is such a great guitar... really like Special Tributes... have owned and modded three. They're NOT all the same. Many have a much larger cutout for the pickups, but not this one. It's a bit heavier... and sounds fuller for it.
.... and seriously, this pickguard is cool up close.
I really like these models with alnico 2 humbuckers... tried everything... these sound big and powerful, but not too harsh.
There's a push-pull tone knob... 22uF and 47uF orange drop capacitors. The 22uF sounds modern while the 47uF sounds classic... it's a big difference with the tone rolled off a bit...
It's fully shielded and has Grover locking tuners.
Comes with a brand new gig bag, a strap, mirror truss rod cover... an extra Les Paul CUSTOM truss rod cover, original Gibson documentation, and new 9.5 strings.
It has some minor scratches, but barely noticeable... looks great. It's been buffed out, the frets are polished, the board oiled, it's set up nicely, intonation and all... medium-low string height and the pickups are in just the right spot for fullness and clarity.
