Angus Young Signature chrome bridge pickup, used lightly. Measured DC resistance 9.6k ohm. Have Gibson box but plastic box insert missing from box (doesn't affect pickup, you don't play the box). Very clean appearance, no scratches. My personal take on this pickup is that it nails the Angus Young tone but it is not an overly loud pickup. Angus in Guitar World March 2017 responded as follows to question: Do you ever switch to your neck pickup to create a different tonal vibe?"I used to do that a lot; I'd be fiddling about with the [pickup selector] switch all the time. I still hunt back and forth sometimes now, but only if I'm in a diddly mood. On stage though, I rarely do it."
I had a hard time finding a neck pickup that balanced well with the Angus Young Bridge. Best I found if you want to use both pickups is to put a Gibson Burstbucker-1 pickup (lower output than 490R or Classic 57 neck) in the neck position and lower the neck pickup height to balance volume-wise with the Angus Young bridge. If you are playing a lot of AC/DC you will probably be using the bridge pickup mostly, but sometimes you may wish for a different tone and the Burstbucker-1 in the neck would mean less hassle changing volume settings.
Manufactuers Description: The Gibson Angus Young Pickup is a bridge position pickup with an Alnico V magnet and special balanced-coil windings using vintage enamel-like coated wiring that delivers a 1-2 combination of punch and vintage tone. This is the pickup that Angus himself plays. It is also fully wax potted to eliminate any chance of microphonic feedback.
