About this listing
Murphy Lab 1959 LP Standard (Heavily Aged) Now in Stock! Wefve received a 2023 Gibson Custom Shop 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue. This is a gHeavy Agedh specification from the Murphy Lab Collection?an aged-grade model favored by serious Burst enthusiasts. The finish color is Green Lemon Fade. The Green Lemon Fade color on this particular guitar does not feature the complementary color effect of a light blue-ish burst layer?which was visually noticeable for a brief period in recent years?but rather exhibits a well-balanced, subdued, and stable Green Lemon Fade effect. It appears as though the green hue was sprayed to cover a narrow outer perimeter of the burst layer (on this guitar, primarily the outer area toward the body end), reminiscent of the style from earlier eras.Lemon Fade color. Furthermore, unlike burst colors such as Dirty Lemon or Double Dirty Lemon?which emphasize the fading and sun-bleaching effects of aging?this specimen features a color expression with just the right amount of fading that subtly hints at the burst layer that once existed, making it impossible not to find it truly beautiful. The cracks and distressed finish on the back, combined with the fading of the cherry color, create an exceptional look, making this a truly one-of-a-kind, heavily aged Green Lemon Fade. Regarding the progression of its exterior condition, because this is a Murphy Lab gHeavy Agedh specification, it is difficult to determine the extent of its use for playing; therefore, this report is based on our best estimates. As for the product grade, due to the circumstances mentioned above, we have listed the condition as gB+,h though you may find this to be a beautiful, clean-looking instrument. Therefore, there are no signs of heavy use or rough handling, so this may be a rare used instrument that was never subjected to serious playing. Additionally, there are no unusual marks on the control components, so it appears to be in fully original, gsolder-virginh condition, including the pickups.
