Selling this vintage time machine of a bass, an early to mid ‘60s Kay K5915. It’s a 60 year old bass and still in good condition.

This one isn’t marked Kay, Old Kraftsman, Truetone, etc, so unsure which retailer Kay had manufactured this for back in the day, but it’s quite obviously a 5915 model.

The bass and its original two-tone case have survived time well, provably has not known more than one or two owners I’d guess.

Plays, sounds and looks great, electronics 100%, the case has all latches and hinges present and reporting for duty. I personally think the Speedbump pickup has a very cool Beatle-esque sound, reminds me of a Horner violin bass.

Has just the one original lower strap button it was born with (vintage guitar straps had laces to tie to the headstock back then!), no one has ever added an upper strap button, which leads the amateur guitar detective in me to theorize that this bass probably never saw much stage time.
