Admit it!! There was a time you dreamt about sitting behind the Ludwig Octa-Plus that you saw on the cover of the 1970s Ludwig Drum catalog.

This 1970s clear Vistalite Octaplus double bass set is in excellent condition. The condition of the shells and hardware are some of the best I've ever seen. The clear shells are remarkably shiny and clear. No cracks, nothing broken, missing or damaged. The most notable "flaw" is that all of the drums except the two smallest concert toms were drilled for what appears to have been an internal mic or trigger mount. Each drum has 3 small holes that are currently covered by a 1+1/8" cap about the size of a quarter (see pics). They're located pretty inconspicuously right next to the clip mounts on the concert toms so they're pretty hard to see. Most of the concert toms have a couple long scratches on the INSIDE of the shells (see pics). The outsides are nearly perfect. Any scratches are easily buffed out, but we'll leave that project for the new owner.

This is a born together matched set. All of the serial #s are in the same 12XXXXX range. Complete set of eight Concert toms from 6" to 16". Two 24" bass drums, 18" double headed floor tom and a matching 5x14" snare. The snare muffler has been removed and is not included.

All of the hardware and cymbal stands in the photos is included with the exception of the Yamaha throne and bass pedals. Some of the Ludwig concert tom stands have non-Ludwig bases.
