Outstanding little vintage cornet up for sale! This is a Selmer Signet Special designed by Bach (says so on the bell). It's nickle plated (looks almost like silver but it's a harder surface). This horn blows freely, some very little dings on the lead pipeline but otherwise no damages at all. Some scratches, however it's a vintage horn (1974?). The 1st valve tuning slide is somewhat seized up at this time. Technician was unable to free up. All other slides/valves are fully operational. Comes with a 7c mouthpiece. Very nice tone.
Comes with case, mute and lyre. SN: 54216
I'm asking $200. This is an EXCELLENT starter horn or intermediate horn ...
Students in middle school or high school will certainly do far better with
their own horn. Don't obtain or lease from the school, if your children damages
his/her horn you can be up for charges at the end of the year! When they really
want (even when school is out) and you have peace of mind, with your own horn
he/she can exercise!
This is definitely higher quality than a Yamaha student horn, and a cornet is
usually a bit much easier to play and takes simply a bit less air to fill,
which need to be beneficial for young players. If you don't want to March or
tour with your Bach Stradivarius, it would even make an excellent 2nd horn.
Thanks!
