The Gibson Demo Shop is a specialized division of Gibson that gives customers the opportunity to purchase unique instruments, including guitars used for display, testing, promotional purposes, factory modifications, demos, and prototypes. These instruments may show cosmetic wear or minor imperfections, but they are fully functional and still built to Gibson’s high-quality standards.

This particular guitar is a 2023 Gibson Adam Jones Les Paul Standard Artist Model in Antique Silverburst.

Gibson USA created this Artist model in collaboration with Adam Jones, guitarist for the Grammy Award-winning band Tool. It features a striking Antique Silverburst gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish, a mahogany body with a maple top, and a rounded mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard, mother-of-pearl trapezoid inlays, and 22 medium jumbo frets.

The guitar is equipped with a chrome-covered Burstbucker 1 in the neck position and an uncovered DC High-Gain Humbucker in the bridge position. The electronics are hand-wired with Orange Drop capacitors and controlled by a traditional Les Paul layout of two volume controls, two tone controls, and a three-way pickup selector.

Additional features include Grover Rotomatic tuners with contemporary-style buttons, chrome hardware, an aluminum Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge, stop bar tailpiece, black speed knobs, black plastics, Adam Jones’ signature on the truss rod cover, and custom Adam Jones artwork on the back of the headstock. It also includes a hardshell case.

This guitar shows scratches and buffing marks throughout the top, sides, back, neck, and peghead. There is a small ding along the edge of the control cavity, finish checking along the volute, and some discoloration on the cutaway tip binding.
