We had to have this one built. I have always loved the Custom Champagne Sparkle Gretsch Jet guitars of the 1950's and we wanted to see how that finish would look on a Gretsch Penguin. It turns out that it is definitely one of the most dazzling looking Gretsch guitars we have ever seen.
The USA Gretsch Custom Shop is currently producing some of the most stunning, accurate and just flat out "to die for" guitars that I have seen in the last 35 years. With its Cadillac "G" style tailpiece Gold Grover Imperial tuners and gold sparkle binding this definitely has all the right stuff. The TV Jones Filtertron pickups give it that classic vintage Gretsch sound and nobody builds a better guitar than Stephen Stern.
