The guitar pictured is the actual guitar you will receive!
At The Farm, we take actual pictures of each instrument and make sure they are fully set-up and ready to play before we ship them. Each instrument goes through a multi-point inspection, followed by a set-up process by our in-house tech staff. We then photograph each instrument with high-quality equipment in our on-site photography studio. We know that details like wood grain and color finishes can vary, so we want you to be able to see, to the best of our ability, exactly what you will be receiving.
This process takes over an hour for each instrument - from inspection to pictures. We care about the instrument we put into your hands! Rest assured your guitar was not just plucked off of a shelf and drop-shipped to you from a warehouse without the care that it, and you, deserve.
The Epiphone Special-II has been a favorite of countless musicians since its introduction over 20 years ago with its combination of classic Les Paul features, great tone and affordability. Epiphone has put a new twist on the classic with the Special-II GT. Like the Special-II, this is a full-on, in- your-face rockin' machine with all the same features and more!
The Special II GT features a solid Mah body cut to the classic lines of a Les Paul. The hard Maple neck has a SlimTaper profile and is a bolt-on design with a contoured heel for great playing comfort and security, along with an upgraded fretboard with Pearloid parallelogram inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets. It's all wrapped up in a thin Worn Black finish that feels and looks vintage.
The Special II GT's sizzle and snarl comes from Epiphone humbuckers with a 650R (neck) and 700T (bridge) pickup combo. You'll be amazed how these U.S.A. designed pickups with high-output magnets provide spectacular highs with increased definition and no muddiness. The hotter and slightly over wound 700T bridge pickup is smooth but can give you a little extra scream or growl when you need it.
Always an innovator, Epiphone has equipped the Special II GT with a combination Master Tone and KillSwitch. Operating just like an ordinary tone pot, if you push it down, the KillSwitch mutes the output signal creating a cool effect when combined with distortion. We plugged it in and tried it out here at The Farm - and yes, it's as cool as it sounds!
Epiphone has also equipped the new GT with a vintage style vibrato what allows you to bend strings and chords with ease. Together, the vibrato and KillSwitch, lets you create amazing effects and all at a price that won't break your budget. This guitar came in on trade and did not come with the whammy bar, although it is equipped for it should you want to get one for it.
The Special II GT features Epiphone’s LockTone Tune-o-matic Stopbar combination for re-stringing ease and increased sustain along with premium die-cast 14:1 ratio machine heads.
This guitar has a couple of dings on it - on the top of the body near the neck there is a ding and above the bridge pickup there is a spot that's not a ding, but where the wood is visible through the finish. We have taken detailed photos, please look through them before purchasing. This guitar also comes with a Gibson USA padded gig bag with an exterior storage zippered pocket.
At The Music Farm, we take quality seriously! That is why we have our in-house technicians do a multi-point inspection on each product, ensuring that it'll be ready to play when it hits your hands!
Included in your shipment will be instructions on care and maintenance.
