For sale: a TEAC Tascam 58-16, a legendary 1-inch 16-track tape machine from the golden era of analog recording. Known for its warm, open sound and rock-solid reliability, this recorder has been a favorite in studios worldwide.
The machine records and plays back beautifully — it truly sounds fantastic. Mechanically and electronically in very good condition. The power supply unit has recently been fully serviced.

Notes:
- One wheel on the cart needs replacement
- Track 1 VU meter lamp is not working (meter itself functions properly)
- Original DBX noise reduction unit is not included (cable is included). Many users prefer running the 58-16 without DBX for a more open and natural sound
