The King of flat tops for the King of Rock n’ Roll! Here’s a unique opportunity to lay your hands on a superrare Gibson Elvis SJ-200 Limited Edition. This specific guitar was signed by Scotty Moore in 2002 and is to my knowledge the only Elvis SJ 200 that he signed. I worked for BMG/RCA at the time and developed the marketing campaign for Elvis No1 Hits in 2002. I ordered this guitar directly from Gibson and they sent it to Scotty Moore’s home in Nashville for him to autograph, before it was shipped to me in Sweden.This acoustic guitar is in overall excellent condition with beautiful, highly flamed maple back and sides. Elvis Presleys name is inlaid with mother of pearl on the fretboard and a pickguard, unique to this limited edition model, exactly as the original. There are some signs of playware on the pickguard and there’s a small mark/scratch in the wood at the lower body (see photo). The neck is straight and it plays fantastic with the big warm sound of a SJ-200. Comes with paperwork with the history of this model, and its certificate of authenticity. This guitar is #197 of 250.

This instrument is a reproduction of Elvis original customized 1956 Gibson J-200, that is the oldest in the Graceland archives. Elvis was pictured many times playing this guitar and he also used it during his official return to the live concert stage in 1969. This guitar was handcrafted exclusively in Bozeman, Montana by Gibson, where the luthiers have attended to every detail in an effort to give you an accurate replica of one of Elvis’ favorite guitars. These guitars very seldom come out on the market, and I have never seen or heard of another one signed by Scooty Moore. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for the collector.
