Partscaster Thinline S-Style w/ Fender USA Pure Vintage 65 pickups (Fender Semi-hollow Strat) 2020'a - Blue Paisley

This Partscaster Thinline S-style guitar is in very good condition and has only been played a few times in home studio. It plays perfect and looks great too! There is a minor indent on the fretboard (as shown in pictures) and two minor finish imperfections in the paisley finish (as shown in pictures).

It features a thinline alder body with Paisley finish. It has a MIJ 22-fret, modern C-shaped Maple neck with a 9.5 radius, gloss finish, and Fender chrome locking tuners. This has USA wiring and a mint green pickguard.

The pickguard assembly consists of genuine Fender USA Pure Vintage 65 Stratocaster pickups, CTS 250K volume pot, Fender TBX tone control, CTS blender pot and an Oak Grigsby 5 way switch, all wired with Gavitt vintage wire.

TBX tone control description from Fender: "The TBX (which stands for Treble Bass Expander), is a dual concentric stacked tone pot. The pot has a detent in the middle position. From 0 to 5 (at the detent), the TBX functions like a normal tone circuit with filtration through a capacitor. Advancing the knob counterclockwise from the detent position gradually filters off high frequencies, like a standard tone control. Rotate the knob clockwise from the detent position, and you add presence and brightness by allowing the pickups' natural resonance to come through."

We replaced the bottom tone pot with a blender pot for adding the neck pickup to switch positions 1&2 as it provides more tone options than a mini-toggle setup or push/pull pot.  This allows you to blend in the bridge pickup to positions 4&5 in addition to blending neck pickup to positions 1&2. And you can add as much or little as you want as opposed to the all or nothing of a mini-toggle. When this pot is turned up to 10, it is true bypass and your 5-way switch functions as normal. The middle TBX tone knob gives tone control for all 3 pickups. This is a very useful configuration in our opinion. The range of tonal possibilities beyond a typical Strat is broad due to this combination of TBX tone and blender controls.
