I'm selling my Selmer BS400 baritone saxophone, and it's in really nice shape overall. This is Selmer's solid intermediate model with a low A, which makes it a great choice for school bands, advancing students, or anyone who wants a dependable bari without jumping to pro prices.

The horn has been professionally serviced and plays beautifully — super responsive with a warm tone thanks to the rose brass neck. It's built with full rib construction, double bracing on the low keys for extra strength, and reinforced areas where it counts. Aside from one noticeable dent on the bell/brace area, it's basically like new. The tech assured me the dent is purely cosmetic and doesn't affect the sound, response, or intonation at all (and it's way down low where it matters least).

Everything else looks and feels fresh: the lacquer is still shiny with very little wear, the pads and action are in great shape from the recent service, and it just plays like a horn that hasn't seen much use. It comes with a brand new mouthpiece, three brand new baritone reeds, and a roller case that's also in like-new condition — rolls smoothly and protects the sax well. This would be a perfect step-up for a student or a solid doubler horn that's ready to gig or rehearse right away.
