Vintage “The Gibson” UB-1 Banjo Ukulele
I am offering for sale this wonderful vintage “The Gibson” UB-1 banjo-uke dating back to the 1920s -1930s.
Prior to my ownership, the vellum head, bridge and some hooks and nuts were replaced. The rim looks very good…perhaps too good for it not to be a replacement. I believe everything else is original.
Overall, the instrument is in remarkably good condition with no major issues: no noticeable cracks, scrapes, scuffs or boo-boos. For an instrument that’s likely a century old, it seems to have lived a charmed life so far with many more years of use ahead of it.
I have two other banjo-ukes. As a result, this Gibson is being neglected. It needs a good home.
