Rukavina 24" Ripple Lap Steel - Mahogany, Alder and Wenge

- 24" scale length 6 string Ripple
- Mahogany, Alder and Wenge body woods
- Wenge fingerboard bound in Maple and Wenge, with Maple lines and Holly dots. Wenge headcap.
- Features my own pickup, wound to nearly 13Kohms resistance using 42AWG magnet wire, and uses Alnico V 1/4" diameter rod magnets. 2.2" polepiece spacing. Lovely sustain and vocal tonality akin to pedal steel
- 500Kohm CTS pots for volume and tone, uses a Dijon .047uF tone control cap, and a Switchcraft jack
- Bison bone nut with 3/8" string-to-string spacing (1 7/8" overall) filed to accept any string gauges - Chrome knurled metal control knobs, and a Swithcraft jack in a chrome Electrosocket output cup, positioned on the player's side of the steel so the cable easily drapes behind or to the side of the player vs toward the feet
- Hipshot locking 18:1 tuning machines, my "r" logo is heat branded onto the back of the neck
- Features my own Rukavina aluminum bridge with a stainless-steel saddle and 2 1/4" overall string spacing. The saddle can be swapped out for other 1/4" round materials: brass, wood, plastic etc to achieve different attack and sustain qualities
- Finished in hand-rubbed Clean Armor Satin UV cured poly --- very similar to Tru Oil but it is harder and clearer **and safer to work with**
- Includes a well-fitting padded gig bag
- Comes strung with Scotty's SIT C6 strings with a high G on top (30-12 gauge EGACEG...the nut is filed to accept any string gauges)

**I initially listed this mistakenly as a 22.5" scale steel, thinking it was another build. Apologies to those folks whose interest centered on it being a short scale. I was playing it for a clip and realized it felt a bit long, and I checked and realized that it is in fact a 24".
