Music Man USA Kaizen 7 Apollo Black Multi-Scale 7-String Electric Guitar

Ernie Ball Music Man proudly presents the Kaizen, a collaborative creation between the Ernie Ball Music Man design team and world-renowned guitarist, innovator, and designer Tosin Abasi. Designed for modern players, the Kaizen is available in both 6- and 7-string versions and reflects a forward-thinking design philosophy shaped by Tosin Abasi’s distinctive playing style and creative vision.

The Kaizen features a contoured alder body, a beautifully figured roasted maple neck, and an ebony fingerboard with a multi-scale layout and unique Infinity Radius design, enhancing both visibility and comfort across the entire neck. Its electronics include a newly designed Music Man HT bridge humbucker, an offset neck mini humbucker, and a 3-way selector with a custom middle position. Hardware includes a Music Man multi-scale tremolo bridge, Steinberger gearless locking tuners, and a G&G hardshell case.

Multi-Scale Fingerboard

The Kaizen’s multi-scale design ranges from 24.75" to 25.5", with the 7-string low B extending to 25.65". This provides firm string tension for powerful rhythm playing on the lower strings while maintaining a familiar feel on the higher strings for smooth bends and lead playing.

Infinity Radius Fingerboard

The specially designed conical “Infinity Radius” fingerboard improves comfort while also increasing visibility. Its shape peaks along the treble-side edge and rolls toward the player, allowing a clearer view of the entire fretboard in playing position.

Steinberger Gearless Locking Tuners

These lightweight, modern, and highly precise tuners offer smooth operation, low-profile design, and straight string pull for excellent tuning stability.

New Music Man Pickups

The Music Man-designed HT bridge humbucker delivers powerful low end, outstanding clarity, and extremely high output. The offset neck mini humbucker is specially voiced to complement the bridge pickup, offering dynamic response and impressive articulation. Together, the Kaizen pickups provide strong output and deep low-end response while remaining clear and defined even at lower volumes.

Multi-Scale Tremolo Bridge

The custom Music Man tremolo is exceptionally smooth and includes spring dampers that help reduce unwanted overtones and sympathetic ringing.
