Up for sale, a 1976 Regal RE30 Fuzz Wah Diddy in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Manufactured by Foxx for Regal, the “Fuzz Wah Diddy” is a rebranded Foxx Fuzz Wah, combining the rich, sizzling fuzz of Foxx’s notorious Tone Machine with four selectable wah tones.

The Fuzz and Wah functions can be selected independently, so this pedal can operate purely as a fuzz if desired (on/off switch forward of the expression pedal). Premium vintage components include the original sealed Mil-Spec Allen Bradley potentiometer, CTS pots dating to the 32nd week of ‘76, Mullard Tropical Fish capacitors, and GE 6080 transistors. The transistors produce everything from mellow crunch to ripping buzzsaw roar, and the wah has a smooth taper and rich, vocal-like quality that’s perfect for adding character to clean passages and making heavy solos scream. The controls are decidedly user-friendly, with a 4-way rotary knob for selecting the desired tone, Fuzz Volume, Sustain, and Fuzz Mellow Brite knobs for meticulous sound-sculpting, and an Octave Sustain toggle for engaging the pronounced octave effect.

There’s only light wear on the black crinkle finish, the original knobs, badges, and labels are intact, and the treadle actuates smoothly.
