6-hole transverse wooden flute in C, made from apricot wood and reinforced with brass rings at both ends.
This instrument follows a traditional, simple system design inspired by early (renaissance-style) flutes.
Comfortable for playing in C major, D minor, F major and G minor.
The tone is strong, open and slightly bright, with a clear and direct response, while maintaining the natural warmth of wood.
Requires some basic technique as with all transverse flutes, but responds well and is not overly demanding. Once the embouchure is developed, it is stable and enjoyable to play. About two octaves are easily accessible.
A versatile instrument suitable for folk music, early music, world music, and experimental styles.
