This amp has been recapped and serviced and sounds as it should.
One note: it appears that the previous owner added a VU meter to the back of the amp (see photos). It isn't connected to anything now but could have been added to provide voltage readings from the speaker or to load the circuit for a change in tone at some point perhaps. The VU meter is currently only for decorative purposes and doesn't affect the sound of the amp but could presumably be wired in.
