1980s Kentucky Mandolin model KM-150S Serial Number 002173.
I have no experience with mandolins but here is what I know about this one:
This mandolin was my late uncle's. He was an great player and this instrument is in great condition. I had a friend play it for me and it sounds very good to my ear. My aunt thinks it was bought new in the 1980s when they both played in a mandolin orchestra. Apparently my uncle did not like having the pickguard on it and so he removed that. I was not able to find it and so no pickguard is included with this instrument. You can see the mounting holes in the body. There is an extra screw-hole near where the neck joins the body. Otherwise this mandolin looks to be in excellent condition.
There is a very nice hardshell case included that has a few marks on the outside but no damage. Inside looks great and there are no smells or other issues. It comes from a non-smoking home.
The sticker inside says "Made in Korea"
