The 1965 Martin D-28 is a iconic dreadnought featuring solid Brazilian rosewood back and sides, a Sitka spruce top, and a mahogany neck. It is characterized by non-scalloped, forward-shifted X-bracing, an ebony fingerboard, and Grover Rotomatic tuners. This model is notable for being one of the last years of the "golden era" before the switch to East Indian rosewood.
