Martin / 2018 CTM D-28 Guatemalan Rosewood

"Custom Model Ordered in Shop"

This CTM D-28 was ordered from Martin by Miki Gakki.
The top is made of specially selected Swiss spruce.
Swiss spruce is a coniferous tree native to the high Alps, characterized by its fine grain.

Guatemalan rosewood, with its beautiful Jacaranda-like stripes, was chosen for the back and sides.
This is a special wood used in Martin's custom models.
This hard wood produces a beautiful tone that combines brightness and mellowness.

While the D-28 features multicolored black and white purfling, this model features herringbone.
This is a special specification only available through custom orders.

The saddle selected is a long saddle, not a short saddle.

Thus, although technically it's a D-28, it's reminiscent of the pre-war and wartime D-28s that were in use up until 1947.

The neck features a modern V-shape.
The gentle triangular neckline makes it comfortable for those who aren't comfortable with V-shapes.

The herringbone trim and long saddle give this guitar a pre-war look.
The Guatemalan rosewood, with its beautiful Jacaranda-like stripes, creates an eye-catching, luxurious feel.
The bass is mellow yet powerful, producing a beautiful resonance.

Please note.
-There are some picking scratches and small dents on the body top, but there are no additional strap pins or enlarged strap pin holes on the body end, so it can be said to be in good condition.
-There are some adhesive repairs to the upper left and right narrow areas of the back of the body due to peeling cell.

[Playing Condition]
-There are no blockages or buzzing, and the playing condition is good.
String height at the 12th fret: 2.4mm on the 6th string, 2.0mm on the 1st string
Saddle overhang: Approximately 3.0mm-3.5mm
