1905 Steinway & Sons B Piano From Sunset Sound Studio 2, Serial Number 115758

This 1905 Steinway & Sons B Piano has been in every Sunset Sound Studio 2 session since the studio was built in 1966. This piano was purchased in the early 1960's by Don Randi of The Wrecking Crew from Stearn Music in Los Angeles for Tutti Camarata, the owner and creator of Sunset Sound Studios. This Steinway & Sons B Piano was initially used by Tutti Camarata in his office at Sunset Sound to compose musical projects for Disney Records. Tutti Camarata was a skilled trumpet player, producer and a notable arranger contributing to various musical projects and recordings having a significant role in the music for Disney Records, particularly in the early years of the company’s expansion into music. He was involved in orchestrating and arranging music for various Disney projects. The early days of Sunset Sound recorded Disney projects such as Mary Poppins, Bambi, Bedknobs & Broomsticks, 101 Dalmations, Sleeping Beauty, etc.In 1966, Tutti's office at Sunset Sound was updated to become a second studio, named Studio 2, at Sunset Sound.
