I have 3 of these. One is latticed braced, one is X braced and one is a 10 year old , X braced Bn-30d. As they came from the dealer, the latticed braced was loudest. With the addition of Oasis Southcoast linear baritone ukulele strings, D'Adarrio .030 and .024 wounds and a side port, there is no difference in volume or projection
