Up for sale is a vintage MXR Distortion+ with the classic block logo. This pedal delivers the iconic, fuzzy overdrive that defined the sound of the late 70s and 80s.
Condition & Internals:
This unit is in good "player" condition with authentic wear that gives it a great vintage aesthetic. More importantly, the circuit is clean and features the highly sought-after UA741CP op-amp chip (as seen in the photos), known for its superior clipping and warmth compared to modern reissues.
Original Housing: Block logo version.
Circuitry: Includes the desirable vintage 741 chip.
Functionality: Fully tested and works perfectly. The pots are smooth, and the footswitch is responsive.
Power: Runs on a 9V battery (not included). Note that these vintage units do not have an external DC jack, staying true to the original design.
Bottom Plate: Original plate with the MXR stamp is included.
