Gibson Memphis ES-335 2012 60's Custom Edition - Antique Tea Burst

This guitar was purchased new in January 2013 from Guitar Center, West Palm Beach, Florida. This guitar is in "near" Mint Condition with nearly no scratches. This guitar was produced in the Memphis Tennessee factory as a limited run by Guitar Center to provide a "Classic" 60's look without the high price of a Historic Reissue. The Calibrated T-Type Humbucker pickups were designed to provide a warm vintage sound.

Most reviewers of the Gibson Memphis Custom Shop ES-335 Guitar Models acknowledge their excellent workmanship and quality components. Many players find these guitars to be top-notch with superb fit and finish. Some of the advantages noted in reviews include:

While some of the guitars coming out of the Memphis Plant in 2012 were officially branded branded under the "Gibson Custom" Division coming with Custom Shop COA's and Custom Shop Guitar Cases and Pre Pack inspections, this was largely a marketing distinction to denote a "Higher Quality" than the main Gibson USA Production Line, but not to the level of a "full" Custom Shop Experience in the creation of an actual "Historical Reissue" Guitar.

A Memphis Custom Shop Guitar is not cheap, but many owners feel the quality is well worth the price.
