New Strings and Setup 1990 Gibson ES-335 Studio in excellent condition and in good working order. This rare, no F-hole model is like the little brother to the B.B. King Lucille, with a gloss ebony nitro lacquer finish (unlike the matte finish 335 Studio versions of today), and easy access to all of the electronics via a small back panel. Perfect for when you want the tonal richness of a semi-hollowbody and high gain with limited feedback, this ES-335 delivers classic Gibson tone through a pair of stock humbuckers. Tight bass, punchy mids and present highs are all accounted for, and this guitar excels when pushed through your favorite tube amp. Professionally setup and ready for the stage and studio, this ES-335 plays exceedingly well with low comfortable action.
Weighing in at a sturdy 9lbs on the dot, this guitar has a feel almost akin to a Les Paul, with a very strong fundamental tone that has considerably more punch than your standard ES model. The neck has the familiar slim 60's Gibson profile and the frets look nearly new, showing only moderate wear. The neck is straight with no excessive buzzing or dead spots and the guitar plays well all the way to the last fret.
All of the electronics work as they should and the nickel hardware is in great shape with some light patina from the past twenty five years. Cosmetically, the guitar shows moderate swirling in finish only from honest playwear on the top and sides as well, but as the photos show, this guitar has been cared for and lovingly played.
