Our Pickup Simulator and Anti-Buffer corrects the issues many fuzz pedals encounter when a buffer is placed in front of them, including a thin, noisy, or oscillating sound. The unit is 100% passive, no power is required to operate the anti-buffer.

When a fuzz is connected directly to a guitar, the combined resistance and impedance of the pickups are in series with the input (acting as Ri) and will reduce the gain, thereby preventing the fuzz from going nuts. By placing our pickup simulator between the buffer and the fuzz pedal, you are doing just that, which it likes, rather than it seeing just the buffer's impedance which it does not like.

This unit has a single toggle to select between Single Coil and Humbucker mode. In addition to the transformer that behaves like a pickup, we use resistance and capacitance that mimics a guitar cable connected to the pedal, for a more natural sound/feel.

We also offer a deluxe pickup simulator which includes an additional volume and tone potentiometers, the same RC network found in a standard guitar so the unit responds even more like a guitar connected to your fuzz.

Hand built, using a high quality Xicon transformer and made in Japan Lumberg jacks, each unit is bench tested prior to packing and shipping.
