This is a custom Birdsong Sadhana 4-String short-scale bass. It has a unique, solid, one-piece quilted maple body. It was made in 2011 by Scott Beckwith. My wife chose Birdsong for their shorter scale length and ease of play. The Sadhana has a zero fret nut, with a total of 24 frets. The tuners are by Hipshot. It has active Fishman Fluence pickups, with a 3-way selection switch and variable tone control. We preferred the sound of Fluence over the original Lace Sensors, as they added more definition, tonal control, with a lower noise floor. The battery resides in the back compartment. The original pickups will also be included, should you ever want to install them. The frets are in good condition, with no low spots or fretting out. The nut width is 1 7/16". The string spacing at the nut is 3/8", with the string spacing at the bridge being 11/16". We included a video down below that lets you see and hear the bass. It's hard to let go of the Sadhana, though my wife has switched to using a multi-scale 5 string bass and we can't keep both.
