The original version of the Electro-Harmonix sequencer is a vintage analog drum sequencer from around 1980. It is not a guitar pedal and requires external drum machines or synths (with CV inputs) to produce sound. 

Overview of the Vintage Sequencer:

The original sequencer is a rare, analog stompbox-format drum sequencer designed to control other devices that respond to control voltage (CV). It does not have an internal sound generator of its own but sends a control voltage out, working well with the Electro-Harmonix DRM32, DRM16, and DRM15 drum effects units.

This unit doesn't necessarily need external drum machines or other devices, although it can work with those. - it is designed to be played as an electronic percussion device, by striking the pad area on the front of the unit to trigger it.

Key features and details include:

• Analog Design: It is an analog device, which gives it a specific character valued by vintage gear enthusiasts.
• Connectivity: It includes Trigger In, Clock In, Clock Out, CV Out, and Audio Out ports.
• Controls: The V2 version, from around 1980, features a touch-sensitive leather front strip (pad control) or a clock source switch to control the tempo, though this switch is often broken on used models.
• Functionality: Users can set up 8 steps, and it can be used to control parameters like oscillators or filters on synthesizers, not just drum effects.

Here we have a very rare find these days. This original EH Sequencer is in very used but good original condition. My technician of 40 years went through the pedal and had to replace 1 of the sliders and then cleaned the pedal out testing all functions. The pedal is ready to ship.
