Steinberger GL-2T 1991 Black (serial number 8148). Custom carved spruce top with mounting holes for a Roland GK-2 pickup. Seymour Duncan Jazz pickup. TransTrem. Aluminum adapter for single ball strings.
This guitar was custom ordered from Steinberger and made with less relief in the neck resulting in extremely low action for amazing playability. Photos include string height measurements at the 12th fret for the low and high E strings (approximately 1 mm) and photos of neck relief with the low E string held down at the first and highest fret to show the low neck relief. Includes the original case, tremolo bar, original faceplate, and TransTrem setup tools. This is a truly unique Steinberger produced during the peak of the Newburgh, NY factory era.
