Here's a great find for the player who has been on the hunt for a player grade '60s P-bass! This 1963 Fender Precision Bass features an early Olympic White refinish and weighs in at a ultra comfortable ~ 3.95kg. This guitar is in good player grade condition with a nice action, setup with flats.

This bass sounds great and features the majority of its original parts including;

  • Original Neck w/ Neck Stamp '5 OCT 63 C'
  • Original Pickups w/ DC Resistance ~ 10.42kΩ
  • Original Reverse Gear Tuners
  • Original Hardware
  • Original Tortoiseshell Pickguard
  • Original Thumb Rest
  • Original Neck Plate SN: 89930
  • Original Nut
  • Original Decal
  • Original Frets

There are some obvious signs of wear on this bass including drill holes and finish colour difference around the bridge from the bridge cover being installed. Unfortunately the bridge cover is not included.

The original frets also show significant wear from frets 1-7 but the neck is straight with a well functioning truss rod and it is playing nicely as such. There is also a small split in the pickguard near horn.

The potentiometers and electronics have been previously along with some other small changes including;

  • Emerson Pro 250k Volume Potentiometer
  • CTS 250k Tone Potentiometer
  • Switch Craft Input Socket
  • SK 1x 50v Tone Capacitor
  • Neck Refinish stopping at the headstock

The original case is also not included with a high quality Hiscox flight case being provided instead. Serious buyers are welcome to send us an email for further photos under the pickguard.
