PRS Paul Reed Smith Bass-4 iv Fretless (likely de-fretted) 4-string Bass with Case 1987

This is a pre-owned/used instrument available as shown for local delivery, pickup at our storefront (curbside or in store) in Beltsville, Maryland, or shipment to those in the lower 48/USA only via UPS Ground [a signature will be required for delivery]*.

• Note that this bass is a fretless model that was likely de-fretted post-factory. A fellow Reverb-er thinks they were the one who purchased this bass originally -- and they say that it has been "defretted, fret lines filled, and then the fretboard epoxied - Jaco style". They claimed they did this work when they were young, so either they did a pretty good job then or it has had some modifications to improve the quality of that work over time. FWIW: Mr. Smith himself says that "could have" done this at the PRS factory back in the day -- but doesn't recall for certain, so the likelihood is that it was done by a previous owner or other luthier post-purchase.
• Its electronics have been tested and function 100% as they should.
• See the provided pix for best idea of overall cosmetic condition. As it is pre-owned, this instrument has acquired some scratches, dings, dents, and the like. There are no issues to note with regard to functionality and playability. 
• Its original PRS hard case will be included, as shown.  No other extras are available for this item.
