Rare Sapphire Blue GIBSON USA Thunder Bird bass.

Limited Edition Custom Color built in the US in 2000 for Yamano in Japan. Seldom seen for sale in the US.

In fact, I bought this from an American in Japan in 2020.

Serial #01540707.

This has a beautiful black Ebony fingerboard. Ebony: more immediate response & stronger fundamental. See the Roger Sadowsky video on fingerboard woods.

Mahogany body with Walnut and Mahogany neck through. Classic fat warm sound.

GIBSON Thunder Bird humbucker pick ups. For that unmistakable roar. These pickups are not noisy at all, regardless of what one reviewer says.

Has the original white mother of pearl pickguard. Last photo shows with a black pick guard, not included!

This bass sounds fantastic. Fat and clean unless you add dirt. Vol-Vol-Tone. Untouched wiring.

Weighs 9 lbs 5 ozs.

Beautiful used condition with a few bumps. One nick in the finish on bottom of headstock. Paint finish crack through the Limited Edition decal. Has not moved in 5 years. All pictured.

Brown GIBSON plushlined hardshell case with baby blanket. Loose on one corner. Combination lock unset, with instructions.

I have DR Cool Blue coated strings on her. Included is a brand new set. 45-65-85-105. They are discontinued.

I use brass string ball ends to act as spacers to keep the string windings off of the bridge saddles. Included, no charge ;)

One of the original knobs chipped, so I put some black metal knobs on. Ogs included.

Reverb calculates the shipping charges, not me. Boxed weight is 30 lbs. 55X20X7 dimensions.
